I've been working with databases and data since 1999 — data is pretty much my passion. What started with a focus on Oracle, both as a database and as a development platform, has grown to cover practically every major player on the (free) database market: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Azure SQL Server, Redshift and more.
Good database management is essential to bring a project to a successful conclusion — and it shouldn't stop at designing a layered database model. You also need a focus on performance: no database delivery without a future-proof guarantee that the right choices were made so you can reach your data quickly, now and later.
